Milk and Honey Red Wine Cask Single Malt is an Israeli whisky from the M&H distillery in Tel Aviv, matured with ex-red wine casks sourced from Israeli wineries and bottled at 46% in a 700mL bottle. Warm-climate maturation gives it a fruit-forward, savoury character that sits apart from the usual bourbon or sherry style, and it carries no age statement.

The nose opens floral and slightly dusty, with raisin and dried red fruit, a lick of ginger and a soft coconut sweetness underneath. Give it a minute in the glass and a mineral, faintly salty edge comes through, which keeps the sweeter fruit honest.

Light to medium in body, this single malt coats the mouth with red-fruit and wine-cask flavour before oak and vanilla take over. There is warmth rather than heat at 46%, a gentle grip of tannin through the middle, and a finish that dries out with pepper and toasted grain rather than trailing off sweet.
