Lake Breeze Bullant Chardonnay 2024 is a bright, unwooded-style white from Langhorne Creek in South Australia, leaning on tropical fruit and citrus rather than richness or oak. Made with very minimal oak influence, it is an easy-drinking Chardonnay built for freshness and served young.
The bouquet opens with white peach, honeydew melon and pineapple, with grapefruit and lemon zest sharpening the edges. There is a faint nashi pear note underneath that keeps the fruit from tipping into anything too sweet-smelling.
Melon and pineapple carry through the palate, framed by clean acidity and a light, unencumbered texture. The wine sits in the medium-bodied range without any creaminess or toast, and the finish is dry, citrus-driven and longer than the price point suggests.
