The Ta'ava Sauvignon Blanc 2026 is a bright, dry white from Margaret River in Western Australia, made to kosher standards. It leans towards the crisp, citrus-driven end of the style rather than anything tropical or sweet.
Cut grass and lime leaf lead the aromatics, with grapefruit, green apple and a hint of passionfruit behind them. The palate follows through cleanly, the fruit tart and juicy rather than lush.
Acidity is the backbone here, keeping the wine taut from the first sip to a dry, mineral-edged finish. There is enough weight through the middle to stop it feeling austere, and a faintly chalky texture that makes the second glass easy work.
Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc of this style is at its best young, while the aromatics are still lifted and the acid is crunchy, so drink the Ta'ava 2026 over the next two to three years.
Serve it well chilled, around 8 to 10 degrees, and give it a few minutes in the glass to open up.
