Estrella Galicia is a Spanish pale lager at 5.5%, brewed in Galicia on Spain's green, Atlantic-facing northwest coast, and it drinks like a beer suited to that cooler, wetter climate rather than the country's sunnier south.
The aroma is clean and lightly grainy, with a crisp, well-balanced flavour where sweetness and bitterness sit evenly against each other. Body is light, carbonation lively, and the finish dry enough to ask for another mouthful straight after.
Serve it properly cold in a simple glass or straight from the bottle, and drink it fresh — this is a lager built for easy, unhurried sessions rather than special occasions, and it doesn't ask for much else alongside it beyond good company and a bit of time to spare.
