A rich earthy Pinot Noir with clear cherry fruit aroma. The palate is soft and slippery, full, and generous with very fine tannin attributed to the modern 777 clone.
Sew & Sew Sashiko McLaren Vale Shiraz is deep violet in colour, with aromas of black currant, red currant and dark cherry which lead to a pleasant earthiness with a hint of black pepper.
Currants and red berries dominate a rich palate which included dark cherry, plum and sweet spices.
Aromatically it leads with red cherry, raspberry and a touch of rhubarb, backed by dried thyme, pink peppercorn and a faint earthiness that keeps things savoury. The palate follows the same line — juicy cherry and cranberry up front, then a darker plummy note through the middle, with a whisper of orange zest on the edges.
On the nose, bright cherry, boysenberry, nutmeg and fresh-cut cedar. On the palate, raspberries, black cherries, walnut and mushroom. Fine grained tannins and vibrant acidity.
